To me it looks like there are still two in line ahead of me at this point. I'd like to jump back in line and see where it goes. Please put me back on the list. Steve
A couple things I should mention, these TA Aluminum blocks, it does not matter what version, will not accept Mechanical fuel pumps or Factory exhaust manifolds. They will also need the lifter bore height reduced to run a Hydraulic roller camshaft. Solid lifters are not a problem. This block has been machined to accept the Hydraulic Roller lifters and the Factory exhaust manifolds. I found this out the hard way.
I think I know the answer, but with you reducing the lifter bore height would that have any effect running solid roller lifters? Just to clarify, this would be for my GSX race car...so no exhaust manifolds here. Thanks for the heads up on everything. Ps. If I read that right. Solid lifter are still not a problem?
I have 6000$ in my twin turbo ls 6.0 run 8.90s on e85 in a 3400lbs 70 gs lol why build big cubic inch engines anymore? ?
No disrespect by any means. I know I'd like to stay Buick in a Buick. And I'd love to have been able to get this block and build a turbo street/ strip car.
Really? I already have a twin turbocharged machine and also a supercharged truck. Those are boring compared to my All Buick muscle cars. I don't post about these other vehicles on here. This is a v8buick forum, not an LS site...go away
I guess some of us are Die Hard Buick guys, I to race an X-Brand car and like Guy I do not mention it either as this is a Buick form. Even though it is easier to make the new technology quicker and faster, I still love my Buicks and I would never bastardize them with any other manufactures drivetrain. If I want an LS or a Coyote setup, I will by a Chevy or a Ford.
Because your turbo LS doesn't impress anyone. They are a dime a dozen, and can be seen in as many Mustangs as Camaros. Personally, I would walk right past yours to see one with a BBB in it.
Looks like someone pooped on your thread Dave. In line if it makes it through all the chebby talk.:TU:
Sounds like a cool chevelle, but 8.90's isn't really that impressive for twins these days. Perhaps you would find a more interested audience on a chebby forum. Take care now. Dave
8.90s ..... That's fast how ever you get there. But if I were a bettin' man. I'd bet your "3400lbs / 8.90 gs" doesn't exist....Prove me wrong.
