Just off the dyno is another bad ass engine from Scotty. We made10 pulls last night and ended up with 703hp and 640 ft lbs of torque! This is a low compression 494 engine with stage 1 SE heads. The heads and intake are a work of art. A big thanks to scotty for surpassing my expectations. Here is some pics and I'll try and load a dyno pull.
Here's the build: 494 stock block no fill, Stock crank Precision billet halo girdle 10.6 to 1 compression 308 s cam TA stg 1 SE heads Old KB wild cat intake 1050 dominator SRE oil pan
that is making some power. cant wait to see you back out there this year. Too bad no marcus dairy anymore to break it in. A lot of nice engines coming out of scottys.
Amazing Power. :TU: Who's rods and pistons did you use for your combo? The headers look like Stage 2 size. :bglasses:
Awesome!!!!!! It will be great to see you back out. I think the Northeast will be in full force this year!!!! C'mon spring.
Oil pressure was taken from the front. Yeah I'm looking forward to getting back out there this year and seeing everyone.
Congrats Dom but I would be worried about that oil pressure going away at higher rpm. Gotta have 75lbs at 6500 if you want it to last.
Ditto Rob! Glad you'll be back out there Dom! I got my 560" back from Scotty and it's back in my '65 where it belongs! It made 908hp this time around. :TU:
Congrat's to Dom and Doug!! Both look good!! I have my 523 out at this time for a little service. Hope to see you guys this summer!! Steve
Another awesome piece out of Scotty's shop! Congrats Dom! No more watching racing from the fences!!! It's going to be a great year!
Man, that just proved my point on the 494 build I was thinking of doing but with stage 2 te heads! Where is Scotty's located? Please provide address and website if possible.
Alan, never had the last engine on the Dyno but I would assume it had to be around 650 hp. I believe the oil temp was probably pretty high the last pull And probably lost some pressure that way. This was a new front cover so it may need a bit of a tweak. Thanks for the kind words guys and let's bring on spring already!
