Re: Parting out a 72 GS 350 ..... air cleaner need gs dual snorkel air box lower with dual ends , if lid is different than 455 need lid too.
Ok so going on vacation and weather and now I will try to answer all the questions on the parts you all wanted to check out. Give me some time I will start as far back as I can and roll forward thanks. ---------- Post added at 03:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:19 PM ---------- I do have the dipstick and tube. They look nice however until I get the front end off I cant get to them because the frame is bent and shoved the engine over to the steering column Nothing of any value. I may have one in my swap meet trailer let me look when I get time. Will take $100 for the pair plus shipping where are you located? ---------- Post added at 03:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:29 PM ---------- $650 for the hood as is complete In primer ready to paint $1200 I should have several of those plates. Not so sure about the latch and stuff need to look around Sold the PS pump assemble already I will look thru some bracket boxes I have and see if I have one. SOLD already
Mike, the latch and rod are removeable. Just need the stamped sheetmetal piece that's about 24" long and has a stop on the top. Art
Hi Mike! ANY CHANCE the GLOVEBOX DOOR GROMMET is still good on this car? If so, would you wanna cut the metal around it like maybe 2x2x2x2 and send it to me? I have asked a few members to try to locate a few grommets for me in case I bust one up... Please Lemono! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Its still nearly complete what are you looking for? I just drug another 72 GS350 home too. ---------- Post added at 09:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:06 AM ---------- They arent that hard to remove are they? And before everyone gets your panties in a wad this new car is just as rusty as the last one. Cars like this are not worth saving
Hi Mike.. I ruined two trying to remove them. They are kinda buggirs to remove in one piece... Duane agrees when in fact, he cuts the metal out around the grommet and then he carefully removes the metal bit by bit until he has just the grommet. he softens them in lacquer thinner so they can snap back in... YA. its a pain but I need one ASAP because its holding me up finishing the interior of George Lanoues (San Jose CA) 72 GS 455. I'd like TWO in case I mess one up... Canya HELP ME OUT here Ole buddy Ole pal?? Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Mike...AND EVERYONE ELSE. . . Thanx to Roberta, here is a pix of what I am looking for:I am looking to purchase AT LEAST TWO...so I can mess one up!
Are the valve covers the same as a 71? I 'd like to have an extra set for my car...to clean up and paint...
is the new 72 gs frame any good??? maybe one of the two frames might have usable sections for my frame.
Well part of the issue is I had to let the kid I had helping me go. The economy doesn't allow me to have a parts kid anymore. So when I get some time I will try and get out there to get them pulled. Sorry about the delay ---------- Post added at 07:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:44 PM ---------- I have no idea really ---------- Post added at 07:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:44 PM ---------- I have several around here for sure
OK I have hired a kid to help with my dismantling of cars . I will try to get things off in a timely manner. Let the shopping begin.
Looks like the pics of the new parts car has a n25 bumper. if so how much w/all the brackets and stuff.
