Re: 66 buick riviera For an used Nailhead intake manifold contact Larry Daisey a.k.a. "the Riviera man" at Rancho Riviera in Riverside, CA. Click photo for website :Comp:
Re: 66 buick riviera Larry is in Arizona these days. The white '64 in that pic is now in my garage, getting ready to hibernate for the winter. I had a good experience dealing with Larry, for what it's worth. -BEPNewt
Re: 66 buick riviera When I visited Larry in December 2008 he already told me that he bought some land in Arizona. And that he was thinking about moving there because of the lower tax in that state. Anyway, here are more photos of your Riviera: And here's the legend in full colour: :TU:
Are you looking for the qjet intake. Should have one if you come up empty. Also have the correct qjet carb. Presently have a qjet chrome air breather posted in the forsale as well. Fred
ONE OF THESE WILL WORK... One is a 64 401, the other is... is...? um, dunno but it appears the same, different part number. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Are you sure about the fit? Will look it over and make sure there are no cracks in the mounting area around the bolts, and how much you want for it? tmarchtheman, Tennessee
Can you explain what you mean by a squarebore AFB, because today the guy at the shop told me my intake has square port holes and he asked me if the one I was looking at had spuare holes, told him no "looking at the top of the intake", please expain. Thanxs tmarchthemanray:
hereya go: SQUARE BORE on the left..all 4 intake/carb holes are almost the same size. SPREAD BORE on the right.. two front holes, called primaries, are smaller holes than the HUGE secondaries... NOTE: these are two different year/style manifolds, but for all intent and purposes, to show you the diffs, take a look:
Hello from Arizona, Did Larry move here? I am located in Gilbert but moving to Chandler in 6 months. Would like a fellow Buick person to ask questions about my 65 Wildcat if Larry might be open to that. Thanks, Rick
I know I have one, but cannot locate it so far. If someone else has one grab it. I will keep looking. Fred
Hey "T"... I sent you a PM reply regarding shipping this intake. :TU: And this intake was once bead blasted, no cracks anywhere. Here are a few more pix. I COULD have this unit wrapped up, protected and boxed for tomorrow shipping if you'd like! Just let me know! :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Dennis, that "...3782" intake is for the Wildcat/Electra '65-'66 401 and would work better on the member's '66 Riv if he uses an AFB or a new Edelbrock carb. There are 2 bolt bosses at the right rear for mounting the coil, the vacuum port at the rear is for A/C. The other intake is for an older nailhead- early '60s maybe '63? In fact it looks like the one on my '60 Electra.
