I just thought of something strange at the Puyallup show. Where were the 64 Rivs? I saw 63s and 65s but if there were 64s I missed them somewhere.o No: Bob H.
Even though i was late,it was fun seeing all the people like Jeff,Chris,David,Roy,Jim,and meeting a few new guys for the first time. Pouring rain & Don from Tx was wearing shortsou: Roy's "little red" was an awesome car to see in person:TU: Bob's 53 was quite nice as well...even if he did steal my longest distance award!!! 1700 miles,WOW!
Also, where were the grand nationals/t-types? one showed up for like 5 minutes then left. has the show done something in the past to make them not feel welcomed?
I dont know but if he would have rebadged it and put on somr gsx stripes we would have let him compete in the modified class.:bla: At least it could get wet. We used to have several show up, but the last few years it been one or maybe two. They have their own class. Blame it on the weather? Black cars are a bitch to clean. The guy that came in this year shows almost every year but told me he wanted to do another show that day so did that but came by to see our show on the way home. Winning best GN every year when your the only one I would imagine loses its novelty I imagine. Changing trends? We had only three 1950's car this year and usually one of our biggest classes. So its hard to predict what will show. But they are always welcome.
Roy what was the total count for Saturdays show? I thought I saw more than 3 50s cars there. Maybe they didn't all enter.o No: Bob H.
Total count was 86 I think I heard from someone. There were a couple 50's cars that were display only I think. Here are the pictures that Roy took: http://s198.photobucket.com/albums/aa148/woody760photo/2011 show/
grumble, I fixed the low oil pressure problem in my Buick; and now the rear main seal leaks..... and I missed the Buick open AGAIN.
