You have to cut it into four sections, the ports are no as close as everyone thinks. I tried just cutting it in half but to make it right it had to go into four sections.
Nice job BuickRacer! It would be great to have dyno/track times with a stock manifold then with your new manifold and no other changes except tuning. Does anyone know if Hector ever dynoed his manifold?
I am not putting a stock intake on it. If my dyno buddy will hook me up I would run my ported TA back to back with it. He told me he would hook me up and do it for $500 but it is really not worth it to me. I would think about doing back to back tests at the track but I would have to get emotionally ready first.
Go get em! Bring on those "Turbos and Bigblocks" it said on the side of Tweety. Sonny Seal ran low 11s NA with a Buick 350 using a custom tunnel ram dual 750 cfm carb setup:3gears:
Very impressive! Are you going to use sheet metal for the valley pan or do 350 buicks have one available? Just curious. Nice work so far! I've got no wife (well anymore) lol so I got a free kitchen to turn into my new machine shop.
Yeah, I got my flanges the rest of the way done and it is ready to be welded. I am going to take it to my buddies early next week and have him weld it for me. I will try to get a picture of it all put together before and after it is welded and after I spend hours grinding on it.
Yeah, I keep forgetting to bring my camera to work and I do not know how to get them from my phone to the computer. I will try to get one tomorrow for you guys if you still want to see it
This is the final mock up before it goes to the welder. I went for a cast look with my flanges. I am waiting for my buddy to get some free time to weld it. It will most likely be late this week or next week sometime. Getting close and I am excited. It is going to be 7.5 inches tall. I am going to have to find some kind of cowl hood or something for it now!
That should come out very nicely. Are you going to try and weld the inside of the plenum so you can port it smooth as well?
Oh yeah. I will slick it all up and make it look nice. It has to look cool when the hood is off. Thanks for all the kind words guys
