Our family has close ties with the Bergquist family running the Autoshop Racing facility in Orlando, FL. After Lennart passed away due to cancer, his wife has currently closed down any engine assembly and deals purely with buying and re-selling any items. I recently came across a SBC built by Lennart before he passes away, that went three passes down the quarter before getting put in a barn. The three passes were mid 7's, the quickest was a 7.44. Here's some rather large pics, but I think you'll enjoy them nonetheless. As for the stats, it's a 358cui putting out around 160hp/liter. Pardon my metric usage, but that pans out at around 920 - 940BHP, pure N/A.
It's quite a hefty piece, definitely doesn't look like it, but it's a 358 SBC. Nearly everything is beefy as hell on it.
i see 900+ plus horse power there.....i think tose heads will support 1500+ hp....there is some serious money there...prob 30Gs.....
There's definitely not any rust on it, although quite a few parts on this engine has been modified to save weight. For example the crank.
That is definitly a bada$$ set up there. I think the Nailhead in the backround is trying to hide from that beast.
