Yes I would go for the set (underdriven prefered) and would rather support you than Hawaii racing ( I'm in Hawaii and they are not!... What the?!?!?) count me in!
FYI guys. I tried some underdrive pulleys a few years back and experienced alot of cavitation problems in the water pump. Just couldn't get it to work and keep the engine cool on hot days.
Interesting that underdriven would cause cavitation since impellor speed would be slower? Overdriving I can see possibility of cavitation due to higher impellor speed. I would think that underdriving the W/P would only be detrimental to cooling when at extended idle/low rpm crawling due to less waterflow and if fan is pulley mounted = lower fan speed resulting in less air flow thru radiator?
Not at the moment. Just been busy with work... If there is truely enough interest (i.e. orders) I might get a little more motivation... Waddya want? Are you realy sure you want them underdriven? Erik
I'm a little corn-fused... behold you have 3 different stock crank pulleys- I understand the difference and dimensions of the 3-groove and 2-groove with the 1/2" diameter difference. What I don't understand is the 3rd 2-groove pulley that is of the smaller diameter, but the mounting offset is way shorter puts the v-belt alignment way off-.o No: Erik
As I understand it: A/C: The A/C belt would wrap around the W/P pulley and the crank pulley on the middle groove. The Alt. is on the outside of the crank and W/P. Power steering on the inner groove. Non-A/C: The crank and W/P pulley would have no groove on the middle position (besides the diameter difference). The Alt. belt would run on both the W/P and crank on the outside groove. The P/S pump would run on the inside groove of the crank pulley and the W/P. Have I got it right or are there any other configurations? Erik
ttt Aluminum is in... saw broke... saw fixed... sawing to lengths... currently awaiting new specialty tooling and inserts for mill and C&C programming. Should have prototypes soon. Erik
Crank pulleys done except for the finish. I think they should polish up nice! Who's wants one first? They are going to list for $245.01 for the crank and $207.05 for the W/P ($452.52 pair) but they can be yours for the limited time introductory price at $200 for the crank and $175 for the W/P ($375 a pair). That price will be for "raw" and will be an additional option for polished and clear coated. Shipping is not included. Erik
