In October of 1969 my sister ordered a new 1970 Buick Skylark GS from a dealer in Cedar Rapids, IA. She ordered a Burnished Brown exterior and interior, Dark Brown vinyl top, 350 4-bbl, and auto tranny. It was delivered as ordered in November, 1969 with a VIN of 434370K113776. She put 66,000 miles on it before trading it in on August 16, 1976 in Iowa City, IA (on a '76 Ford Elite, no less. What a mistake that was!) We both would like to know if this car is still on the road, which would make us  if it is. Although this is the car that made me buy my '70, I don't car to purchase it, I just would like to know if it's still on the road. I do have some paperwork for it such as the original order form, invoice, window sticker, etc. which I would be willing to provide to the present owner. If you know anything at all about this car, I'd appreciate any information you have.
What other options? Buckets or bench ? I've seen alot of that color combo. In fact , my sisters got one of them. Obviously I don't know the vin off of the top of my head. Just trying to narrow down the search.:beers2:
Other options included the notch-back (center arm rest) bench seat, convenience group (trunk light, glove compartment light, ash tray light, mirror light, etc), sport wheels, deluxe steering wheel, rear speaker, power steering, front shoulder belts, etc. I think it just had an AM radio. And of course all the options included with the GS package; special front springs, stabilizer bars, dual horns and exhaust, etc. Let me know what you find out.
Are you sure it came from the factory that way?? Thanks for checking, though. I was just hoping that someone would say, "Hey, thats MY car!" You never know unless you ask. Cheers! :beers2:
