Are there anyone who is familiar with traktors? The clutch broke down ( could have ended badly) It is an International 276 year 1969.
Replacing the clutch will require splitting the tractor or pulling the engine. Otherwise it's very simple. It's possible the flywheel will need to be resurfaced. Did the 276 still have a Torque Amplifier? Those commonly fail. However the tractor should still drive without the T/A.
My first clutch job on anything was on a Farmall 560D,,,ended up the doing the torque amplifier also,,,this post took me back 25 years!!!
International Harvester McCormick-Deering Farmall Cub might help some, if not, you might find someone who can steer you in the right direction HERE
Hi Matt. I am going to use my one post lift, i think for front end. And i will make something to suport rear end, some wheel thing. And fix the front axel so it cant tip over on the side. Torque amplifer, i dont no. Thanks Goran
It looks like you will have no problem doing this job. From the first pictures I saw you would have to remove the cab and loader, but in the current pictures I see you are on the homerun stretch :TU: Old tractors like this run for a long time. Our '48 Ford 8N still purrs like a kitten as well as our '57 Ford 860 and '56 Oliver Super 77.
Sure is different seeing a tractor with front fenders!!!:TU: The newer stuff here in north america comes with fenders,,,don't remember seeing any older stuff with them though!!!o No:
It was 2 bolt out of 3 have broken, holding 3 arms in the cluch. It is a dual cluch. Ordered the parts in Town, and i got the cluch parts on Friday. The bolts are coming on Monday. Its amazing! I have hade this Traktor in 20 years, first time i have to work with it. Good Traktor! Goran :TU:
The wheel in your signature, is it an old style ET Mags with screw center caps from 60s? Nice wheels. Goran
