Did any? also, are there any aftermarket gage clusters made for specifically for the riv? or 71 72 73 big car? Was there ever any gages besides fuel for 71-72-72 riv, lesabre, centruion
hmmmmm..... don't tempt me... Actually, with the Switch Pitch it already has 6 speeds and plenty of performance.:Smarty: But then again, there is room for performance...
There were two fuel gauges. The optional one was a low-fuel warning light equipt version . Small red light lit when fuel got low.:beers2:
Buick started the Riviera name in 1949, so there are many Riviera models with sticks, but not the car "RIVIERA ". Rumors flying about a couple 65 Riv GS's made with sticks for testing , but never saw one!
I personally know of 5 Riviera's that were converted to 4spds. I even have all the parts to convert my '64. Supposedly there were 2 4spds. produced in '63 from the factory. When I was working at a Ford dealer in '65 a guy came in with a '63 Riv. he wanted to trade for a '65 T-Bird. Being the car was "Standard" shift he was offered more than $1000.00 less for the car. The salesman wouldn't give him enough for a trade-in. I talked with the owner & he said it was "Special Ordered" for him. Being 18 at the time with my own "New" '64 Riv. I didn't have enough $$$ to make it worth to the owner. I probably would have broken it anyway. So, I know for SURE that there was at least ONE!!!!!! Tom T.
