Looking to compare apples to apples here. What do you run for mph in the 1/8 mile? If you don't mind me asking..:TU:
I am suprised at your 1/8 is only 107. I figured yours would be around 109 -110. Yes it all helps, thanks.
Just got this today... Here is a new member to the 9sec club. Ken Montour’s car…Some of you may remember they had it at the GS Nationals for some testing. This was the car's 1st 9 sec. pass. Built around the GS Club Of America's GS Street Eliminator Class rules. A real street car naturally aspirated with a complete exhaust system, full interior etc. It is a stock stroke 455 with an .038 overbore to give it 464ci. It weighs 3500lbs and it idles smooth enough to still run the power brakes! This pass was 9.98@132.4 mph and was backed up with a 9.99@ 132.7 run.:bglasses: Maybe Ken, Duane or Keith Diabo will come around to share the details of the build. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gNxMGdwHqg Very cool!
Wow, nice job with Ken's car! Who put the scoop on backwards?? I have Frank U's old car that the Diabo's did back in 1997, and was ready to get it on the track again after years of storage when rainy weekends and some minor mechanical stuff postponed it's re-debut until the spring. High 9's and low 10's were clocked years ago with this car, but it took a lot more go-fast parts to achieve what was achieved with a lot less on Ken's car. Credit the Diabo's for some good looking, fast projects!
2810 lbs, mild steel, tube chassis with ladder bar street car. No tricks 10.5 to 1 464 Stage2 with a 200 shot. 5.84@119.90 Crappy 1.37 60foot. First time on the pill out of the hole with this combo. More left in it for sure. 9.33@143.67 at Buick vs Ford 2 days ago on a slipping around in the first 330.
