I need a white boot for my convertible. I'm assuming my seats are white, my top is white (Adam, Tony, Howard---you all saw it Saturday)---so when I look on ebay, I see some for sale described as Pearl white. Is that the same color as my interior, or is it off enough that it will look goofy? Plus, if anyone wants to get rid of/sell a white boot in good shape, I'm game... Jimmy G :Comp:
Welcome to another St Louisan. What kind of car is it? I thought the pearl was a GS and Skylark only interior color.
Hello Jimmy G, I happen to have an nice original White boot that is not torn. Let me pull it out and take some photos for you. What year is your car ? thanks DL
Sounds great, DL---I have a 72 Skylark Custom, Red paint, white ragtop and white seats. The door panels are brand new (previous owner install) and BLACK. I want to switch them out with white ones to make the interior completely white. I'm curious about door panels as well. I see in all these catalogs that unassembled and assembled are offered. Are the assembled ones the way to go? Would I just remove the blacks and install the whites---easy peasy? Always appreciate the guidance--- Jimmy G o No:
Dl, I am also in the market for a pearl white boot Please let me know if its still availiable thanks Nick
Ok 68 Pure White 69-71 Pearl White 72 Off White So should work fine. it was raining today I'll try and get you some photos tomorrow. The pre assembled are on their repo rails. I don't know how the fit is on these. That is why I sent in my originals, unfortunatly they sent mine back on their repos. o No: Nick, mine is not pearl white.I listed about the White colors per year model. DL
DL---this makes sense. I looked on Classic Buicks com and they have white, parchment, pearl white and pure white all as offerings. Lemme know what you have when you have time. Jimmy G
Hi, I have a 1970 GS convertible with a pearl white interior and pearl white boot. The color is differant than the white interior. It is an off-white. And you will see the difference between the two.
Thanks Phillip---the mystery (for me) is beginning to unravel. From what I'm learning, my 72 was originally outfitted in white, so a white boot is the way to go. Thanks!
