Time to come out of hibernation, Any interest in a group of us meeting on Saturday or Sunday at the show? If the weather is good, I may show up in the GS or GN. I would prefer the Sunday, since the auction will be held that day. Either day will be OK, but I'll need to know in advance, since I must book the day off from work. I'll notify some other Buick owners, who aren't on the forum, yet. This winter felt especially long, and I'm hoping to see us get together for a few shows and races this year. Take care all, Nando.
Hi all, Please reply to this thread if you're contemplating attending the Tradex show at the end of this month. Thanks, Nando.
Hey Nando ! I am planning on going over to the show but I am not setting up my booth this year. Historically I don't do alot of sales at this show. I do bring preorders. A few of us were talking about the saturday though but weather will be a factor ( have yard work to do ). It would be nice to have a car load to go over on the boat. Give me a call . Marcel.
Hi Marcel, Great to hear from you! If Saturday is the better day to come over, let me know. I was in Victoria a few months back. Unfortunately, it was a sad time, as my 4 children and I gave our respect and deep condolences to Norm Hinds' family, upon attending Norm's Celebration of Life on December 2nd. I didn't know if it was appropiate to mention a few paragraphs on the forum, as there may not be many site members who knew of Norm. If you do plan to come over to the mainland, I'm still in need of a Buick 8-track player. Will call you in a week. Se you soon, Nando.
Hey Nando, I was intending to go to Norms service but unfortunatly I had my hands full with my own Mom. She passed away Dec 24. I will let you know more about the show at the tradex as the date draws near. talk soon. Marcel
Hi Marcel, I'm sorry to hear of your mom passing away. Seems a few of us have been touched by tragedy these past 2 or so years. Chris S. also lost his dad. My sympathy goes out to you and your family. Take care, Nando.
Hello all, I will be at the Tradex Show on Sunday, March 1st. I hope to meet anyone, who's interested in going to the show, while I'm there for most of the day. If you send me a PM, I'll relay my cell phone # to you, so I can be reached. Still don't know whether I'll bring the GS or GN, as the roads are still salted. The weather this past week, though, has been absolutely fantastic! I was cleaning up the GN on Weds. and Thurs., and it felt like spring. As well, I've been in touch with John R. of the B.C. Oldsmobile Club to firm up specifics for an All GM Picnic, this summer. This event replaces their club's annual BOPC show in June at Campbell Valley Regional Park in Langley. Will let you all know, through the forum, what develops. Take care, Nando.
hey nando johnny here i will not be going to tradex and who cares about the salt since you drive your car in the cold rain and snow anyways, hope all is well see u in the ditch. oh ya meeting Bart to pick up my bench seat for the 69 ca gs on wednesdays. i am picking up your switch pitch from him for u. later
Hi Johnny, If you're going to Bart's, would you mind picking up my horseshoe clip for the GS shifter. I can call him beforehand, to arrange for payment. Otherwise , I was going to his place on Sunday, before the Tradex show, to pick it up. Nice score on the bench seat. Just because I bought the GS, and drove it back in the rain with you that day, doesn't mean I make a habit of waiting for bad weather to hit, so I can try spinning the rear tires. Talk soon, Nando.
Hey Guys I would have liked to meet up with fellow Buick guys but my Sweetie is wisking us off to Vegus this weekend.
Hi Johnny, Thanks! I'm off this morning until Saturday. I'll call you, and you can stop by before,or after your work seminar, for the cash. Canucks will embarass the Canadiens tonight. Hope Alex Burrows gets a hat trick, today. Talk soon, Nando.
well on a good note i picked up your clip now the bad news, canucks still suck lou is a greases italian. We should maybe get a goalie that can stop the puck what do u think. cheers

Hey Johnny, I keep telling myself," the Canucks don't suck, the Canucks don't suck, the Canucks don't..." The Canadiens goaltender was outstanding, and, I believe, he was peppered with 2 shots for every 1 shot on netman Luongo. As far as greasy Italians, that's only because we don't immediately clean up after a quicky lube, if you get what I mean! Take care, Nando.
Hey Nando, A bunch of us will be over on sunday morning. I have some deliveries to make on the way to the show but we will get there 1030-11ish. I will have my cell on and you can call my toll free. 1888-474-5343. talk to you soon. Marcel. hey Johnny, its about time you got computer literate !.....p
It will be good to see you Nando ! I'll keep you in mind about the 8 track.... I have been reorganizing and I am finding all kinds of stuff I either forgot I had or can't remember having. I sold the 71 GS riv and the 6 stromberg carb setup and the nailhead in my avatar. The guy hasn't picked it up yet though and I'm tired of tripping over stuff. What else are you needing that I can look for before I head for that nasty ferry ride on Sunday morning.
