Well what can I say. Another Buick guy helping out a brother. :TU: I posted some pics in chassis resto of my dash that I just restored and Ponch65 noticed I had no clock.:Comp: So what does he do, he tells me " Just send me $5:dollar: in an envelope and i'll send you a clock"!!! What a guy. A few days later I receive the clock and it's beautiful. :Brow: Thanks again Jim:beer Much appreciated. Probably the first part I wasn't looking for and got it for basically free. Got to love the Buick people. Lots of Class.:Smarty:
Well I don't know about the class part, but i'm always glad to help someone out. It cost me 4.60 to send, so I made 40 Cents. Now, what am I going to do with all of that profit????o No: PONCH
Hey Ponch, That and 6 empties will get you a beer on dollar draft days! I come from the school that the glass is 4/10th's full. Will try to get in touch next week about the air scoop.
Hi Doug; Thank's for the info, I'll look into it!! Joe; I got your 5 Bux in the mail today (Thur.) Par Tay! Par Tay!!:TU: PONCH
Hi Joe; These are the pic's you were wanting. Not too good in the Garage. PONCH Pay no attention to those Two interlopers. They must be from Ohio.:TU:
Ponch is a great guy with good advice always....as is Joe who helped me out a few weeks ago with another issue .....this forum and its people are the best ........... J
Those Keystone Classics really set that car off!!!!:3gears: Thanks again. J. No problem at all. Just hope you kept my number!!:beer
Wow Ponch65, that is a great car collection you have, i love the GSX and your GN, not to mention the others, Wonderfull, Great Great Cars...
Those "Other Interlopers" are not my cars. They belong to Sailbird Doug. I took the Pictures at the Sloan Summer Fair in Flint last July. I was just giving him a hard time. And yes, they are Nice Cars!! Even better in person!:beers2: PONCH
Hi Joe,Thanks, I like the Keystones too. I've liked them way back in the '60s. I received a nice settlement from the VA and decided I needed a set. They go with the year. It was them or Cragars, but I see Cragars quite often, so I chose the Keystones. Besides, I run 245/60-15' TA's with 8' wide Cragars on my Astro in the Summer. PONCH:blast:
Nice ride!!! We must be kindred spirits!!! I also ride an ASStro with Boyd wheels. I'll post a pic tomorow after I take a few!!!
Hey Ponch, should'nt you be surfing the web for porn or something? Joke. I'll give my props too. He has given me a lot of help over the months and misc. parts. He is definately in it for the love of Buicks and not the money. Can't be friendships like that. He is pretty funny too, but looks are'nt everything. Ponch - Looks like I will be out of town as well this weekend, trust me I will pick up that tranny soon, and no I am not talking about your friend. Thanks again.
Ponch, Thanks for adding the pics. The Sloan show is one of my favorites. Of course there is always the winning about Buicks winning so many prizes. :moonu: By the way the GN is not mine, that one is Brad's. It is a very hot piece. Ours has stock wheels most of the time. Both our GN and Brads were show winners as well as yours. The only looser in the group was my X. That's OK because the X always get the best looks on the street.
Hey Joe; If you are going to be out of town this weekend, stay there smart guy. You won't be missed!! No hurry on the Trans, it's not in the way. Have a nice weekend.:beer PONCH
Well Doug; What are Dad's for? Spoiling thier Daughters!! I bought my Daughter Two cars. One to get Her through High School, and one to get Her through College. Luckily She Moved to Chicago where She doesn't need a car!!:Brow: PONCH
Hey Doug, How can your GSX get recognition on the street? I goes by too fast for any one to look at it!! Especially in front of the Linden Cop Station. They have all new cars now, thanks in big part to my outrageous taxes. I still go by making a lot of racket, but they know who I am and don't bother me. Pete is a fellow Viet Vet, so no problem. I don't let it get too out of hand tho. Immunity only goes so far. But with the Harleys and thier straight pipes, I have no worries. PONCH:blast:
As a 'new guy' to this forum I must add my two cents about Ponch (Jim). He has been VERY helpful to me while working on the wife's 65 convert. I'm looking forward to meeting you some day. Thanks again Jim!!!
Thank's Ron. I also have been meaning to get in touch about that Vacuum part on your A/C set-up. Every 65 that i've seen with A/C has that part on it. So whoever told you it doesn't belong there doesn't belong under your hood!! PONCH
