Got some engine assembly shots today. First Nick is working on the front cover & oil pump. Next came the cam & timing chain, then the heads went on, then the lifters, pushrods, valve train, and the pan. Then he did a mock up of the engine with the valve covers, intake carb, air cleaner and headers. You can start to see what it will look like when done. Duane PS. When Nick got everything calculated, the engine came out to around 10.8 to 1 compression.
Then he sent some pics of some other eye candy. Here are some shots of the polished wheels. The rims still need painted etc., but the hub faces are now polished up like they originally were. Can't wait to see them in person. It's been a good day. Duane
Just got in the Linkage. I glass beaded everything and Nick had it plated locally. That's 2 sets of Original 69 Linkage and the rest of one set of 69 reverse lock out linkage. Thanks again to Rich Garland & Jason Cook for the parts. Duane

Nick has the motor all buttoned up and ready to run and all the trim pieces and headrests are installed on the front seats. The seat covers don't look too bad for having been installed on the frames 30 years ago. I like the gismo he has to run the water pump while on the dyno. Duane
I noticed that your exhaust pipes coming out of the manifolds are not mandrel bent. Weren't they mandrel bent from the factory?
Looks great! Where did you get the valve covers? The distributor and a few other details look "souped up".
Ray, The frame behind the seats is for another car. I think it's a 70 Stage 1 4-speed. Nick would have to answer that one. Mine has long tube MT headers, and will have 2 short bent tubes with Original Thrush mufflers and tailpipes. Basically the same set up as the Motion GSX. Mike, They came with the car. I think Jimmy got them from Kleiner. The oil fill cap is an original that I had plated. I don't remember what we are using on the other side. Yeah Nick has some "things" going on around the front cover. I think that "distributer" is what he uses to prime the oil thru the engine before start-up, but not sure about that. He was talking about using a different dist to run the motor due to the hook-ups with the Dyno. He still has to fabricate the fuel lines, but is waiting to see how the 3-bbl "acts" before doing that. He says he is running out of parts on the tables. I can't wait until they're all gone. Duane
This is actually my second blue on blue Buick. I had a 70 Diplomat Blue Stage 1 4-speed car with a Standard 2-tone Blue Bench seat interior. Looked like it had a taxi cab interior, and was low optioned like this one. Duane
Duane- Here is the water sender Im using on my Sun gauge. Sender is stamped "AC Made in USA 12 volt". I don't know where they sourced it from. I tried researching it but came up empty. Maybe you can identify it
Jason, any way you can get some readings on the sender? What ohms cold, what ohms at 220 or so? With a Delco or competitor’s buyers guide it might be able to be found. Patrick
