I hear ya...at least for now, I have nixxed the idea of putting a sh!tter in. You can see the pipe coming out of the ground in the back left, which is just a drain going out to daylight in the back. I have water roughed in. I am most likely going to do a slop sink in the back corner, no heavy drainage. I did install a floor drain in the middle.
I have all the insulation up on the walls and in the ceiling. Walls are R19 and the ceiling is R30. Sometime this week, the concrete sealer will be done. Then I can have fun with OSB wall install. I might just take a break from that for a bit and get back to work on the convertible, since that has a hard stop deadline.
Fresh rock spread out yesterday and today. Started moving cars in last night so my property doesn’t look like a junk yard. I finished covering the walls with OSB this afternoon and my father in law is coming sometime soon to shoot them with white paint. That’s his business, and he is really fast and efficient. Beats the hell out of me trying to do it.
Here are the lights I bought. We have virtually the same ones at our shop where I work in irrigation. They are high bay lights, which means they're really meant for higher ceilings. More like 15-20'. So if I were designing for this footprint, I would have about 4 of them, and they would be spread out much more. But since the ceiling is shorter, I added two and condensed them together so I wouldn't have any hot or cold spots. I split the circuits in two (three lights each) so I could add more lights if needed. I am pretty sure I'll be adding some to the walls at a later point. I would like to see what the white paint does to the overall look of the place before I make any decisions. Plus, I am getting gun shy on spending any more money right now...with all the BS going on. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZXW83PP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I had a lighting guy design a system for me before making this purchase. He had 9 of the 1.5 x 3' lights all evenly spaced. The cost would have been quite a bit more than what I ended up paying. At the end of the day, the light emitted is about the same either way. These lights that I have are monsters.
I added led drop lights and a drop extension cord in my garage. I use the drop lights all the time and find the drop outlets helpful most of the time when working away from the wall outlets. It keeps cords out of the way. Fantastic! Boy, that is tight to the ceiling! Any issues? Also, marking the floor where the front tire "should be" is a big help when you move a car in.
