Wish there was a RWD option. Some people convert AWD Audis to RWD.....not that hard except that the computer goes nuts....

Still, best looking (IMO), best handling (.88 skid), best riding, fastest 14.7 (torque rules) but people even on here with find some reason to not buy it and go for the Subaru.
Maybe people are finally finding there senses and realizing that small SUVs that everyone and their uncle has to have are jacked up ill-handing jokes...but really jacked up wagons.
Just saw on news tonite a Honda CRV that some idiot flipped...in a parking lot!!!

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Here in Michigan, I like the AWD, even though I've never had an issue getting around in the snow with my tRusty '92 Acclaim.

I'd rather have RWD and put Blizzacks on for the winter and not have the AWD the 98% of the time you don't need it.

I like AWD because we get enough rain around here and snowing today on the first day of spring in Ky!

Shortly after they announced their intent to import this car GM sold Opel. It looks like a very appealing car but I wonder about its chances for success given the circumstances. Another example of GM dropping the ball planning-wise. Importing and selling this car in America could have helped both brands greatly and might have prevented the sale of Opel.

They originally slated this car to be released in mid 2017, I believe. Then, late 2017, and now I hear late spring 2018. I don’t know why this happened, since the car is basically a rebadge. I needed to replace one of my cars somewhat urgently, and really liked it; so much so that I built one on the configurator and asked a dealer to contact me. A month went by with not one message. My vehicle criteria changed, so I took the money and bought a 2018 Z-71 Colorado crew cab instead (not even close to the same thing, I know).

We have awd in our silhouette mini van, the previous venture van did not. In 10 years with that venture only got it stuck once........buy got lucky to be run over countless times......you would start to pull out, it would go, then as you turned, it would brake the inside tire loose and spin, 9nce that happened the abs come on all by itself and it killed throttle power. So now you in the middle of turn pulling out into traffic and the stupid car is Appling the brakes and limiting power........not the greatest combo.

The awd silhouette with 4 snow tires will take off at full throttle, all 185 whopping hp, on a full sheet of ice and actually move pretty damn impressivily to be once sheet ice.

They never plow my road, and the corner that almost gets me killed in my venture my silhouette just goes like it's mid July day. It's really pretty impressive. This is the second awd car I've owned, the first was a mitsu 3000 gt vr4 and I was really impressed with that awd system. Even if not needed much, I can see awd in my family cars for quite awhole with my 2 little ones, their safety is well worth it

.. and thats going to be the big problem. What do you think its going to be like getting parts for this in 5-8 years, nevermind even while under warranty ?

I've been waiting on this (or the then Holden Wagon) to come out for a long time .. and yes, I prolly would buy one if not for the Opel sale.

Im a Wagon guy. My Envoy XUV is 13 years old now and getting tired. I've had thoughts of going back to a 94-96 RMW having put 150,000 miles on 3 different ones earlier this century. I need a wagon.

I sat in one 2 weekends ago at the dealership, didnt get the chance to drive one but hope to soon. Also sat in V90 and E400 wagons although those are in a different league.

I love my Subaru AWD with LSD rear. My driveway is about 1/5 mi. uphill. In about 10" of fresh powder, it went blistering up the driveway. You won't be doing that with RWD only.

I stay home the 3 days a year that it snows here in Maryland.....
My point is give people the option...people further south certainly don't need AWD....even though they think they might. Some people probably think it does something for you even on a dry road.....

Awd will do stuff for you on dry roads, especially if you get into an evasive maneuver. If one thinks different, put an awd drive car a dry road course and then the same vehicle in either rwd or fwd and see how different they are. I will almost promise the ad will win baring a professional driver at the wheel

The awd charger has faster lap times than the rwd, same hold true the taurus.......not the sho model...

A lot of time's though the ad in these cars that don't have too much traction issues in straight lines the ad will be slower in the 1/4 mile due to weight and rotationAL mass, but on a road course will do better

Some of these big cities driving down the interstate can be almost the same......never know what or who you need to dodge

The point I was making is awd is used for more than just snow traction.

My local police service in Windsor have purchased Dodge Chargers AWD. I think these cars are V6 engined. Problems with AWD the way the cars are driven? I do not know.
