I got the build sheet but it's not in very good condition. Wondering what the best way to preserve it is?
I took mine to Fed-Ex Office and they copied it on the same thickness stock . Thats the one I show with the car . The original is in the safe . But it would be nice to know what the best way to preserve it would be .
My wife does archival work for a university and she says that they use mylar for storing paper documents. Also, a cool and dry storage area is best. You can buy mylar sheets in various sizes. If there is any concern about humidity and further degradation of the paper, you can always add a humidity absorbing device or those hum-absord pillows like used with cigars.
Thank you gentleman for your replies. I have found a company that sells 14"x 18" mylar sleeves. The sleeves are $5.50 each and they have a minimum order requirement of 5 sleeves. I have asked if they will sell me one but in case they don't would anyone be interested in buying one from me if I order 5. Would only charge $5.50 plus shipping and a shipping container, something like a mailing pouch. https://www.talasonline.com/Mylar-Sleeves
As GSX554 stated, keep the original at home (after you get it into the protective Mylar). I cringe when I’m at an outdoor car show and I see someone with their original documents baking in the direct sunlight or even worse, getting wet when an unexpected shower pops up. Why they don’t just carry a nice color photocopy puzzles me.
