I use a little grease or Vaseline on both the hood lip and the trim if I can, and tap it nice and easy back on (with plastic hammer or rubber). I mark the center of the trim with tape so I can be sure it is centered going back on. Another set of hands to help hold it helps! Fernando
Goes on easy as long as the paint/body work hasn’t been built up too much on the edge. I just use the palm of my hand.
I have a better question. How do you get it back on after the car is painted without gouging the paint/clearcoat? I never put mine back on because of that fear.
