Has anyone got experience in replacing lower rear control arms on a 1972 Centurion (B Body)? Looking for hints tips or tricks.
Yes . Use a drill with like a 3/8 bit to drill a LOT of holes into the rubber completely around the outer shell of the bushing and the inner sleeve . It will loosen it up so it almost falls apart . Then knock the outer shell out of the arm .
Lou, he is replacing the entire arms with new ones. He asked the same question in Wrenching Secrets. I answered it there. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/centurion-b-body-lower-rear-control-arms.371238/
Thanks Lou. Larry as well. Ya. Replacing the entire arm. Great idea though. The replacements I got have the bushings already in. As mentioned to Larry - I suspect the bolts might be all seized up but haven’t gotten that far yet.
Not sure, but I think he is installing the aftermarket arms. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/72-iso-rear-lower-control-arms.370764/
