Maybe social distancing will work for you. Remove social media from your life, You'll have far less to worry about. People perceptions don't bother me at all in the garage. Jim Had a tiff on a forum once, member PMed me, threatened me and such. I simply copy and pasted his PM and posted it for all to see. He was removed from site. So... PM are somewhat private (nuttin is private on the innerwebs) only if both parties want to keep it private...
Promise you Bill, Mods, Super Mods, whatever cannot see your PM's, Conversations, whatever. I've been a Mod of some form since the beginning here and it's never happened.

No, I cannot see PM's.... and I have never read any PM, on either software, that was not either sent to me, or forwarded to me by a user. EVER. JW
