I found a deal on a rare part and sent the lead to someone on the forum who I know lives in the area. This fella and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum but it doesn’t bother me and hell, we’re all Buick guys, right? So after a number of days I get no reply and come to realize I’ve been blocked by him. Guess some folks can’t listen to others opinions. Too bad, he could have gotten a heckuva deal.
I do not see the sense of blocking people, especially since we are required to keep things civil and close to apolitical here. Block folks on facebook or instagram where they can be as insulting and inflammatory as they wish -- sure. Here? I don't get it. I had the same experience -- a well-regarded board member needed a part but had me blocked (from what I can tell.) I would have just given him the part for shipping cost. Oh well.
I rode dirt bikes Saturday with a couple that are pretty far beyond the fence, aside from a minor mask rant we stayed away from politics, had a great time and are still good friends. ha
Heck, I didn't even know you could block someone on here! I thought that was just to get rid of whack jobs on FB. God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
I just wish I could block my wife's friend's piehole. Yes, we are on the same side of the political spectrum, but she is unbelievably stupid, way, way out there, stupid, argumentative, stupid, confrontational, stupid, and loud. Exactly the type of person you want to block on FB. I try to block her with a locked front door but sometimes she still gets past. I have to tolerate it because our kids are such good friends... P.S. Did I mention that she is stupid? --
Can you see who has blocked you on here? Maybe that's why I never see a certain member's posts, lol. I've never blocked anyone on here, FB, Twitter, etc.
I have one member blocked and I get a message that says the blocked member has commented on your post. Gives me an option to unblock to see message.
