GK Moz posted a thread about the age of forum members so I decided to create a poll. Your answer will not be displayed publicly.
I just slipped into that age group this year. And with all the close calls over the years, I was proud to get there.
I'd also like to state that I joined a Cadillac forum a few months ago....you guys are all spring chickens
Ya... But I'm not driving GranDad's car. Next you'll be hanging out at a Elks/Moose club talking about the young squirts and their new newfangled smart cars. I'm sure you know I'd love to have a sweet ride like that.
Woah, I thought I was old. This site will be gone in twenty years and those Buick's will be melted down.
When I joined I was an under 30. Got my first Skylark in high school. Now I'm getting closer to being in the 40+ age group.
What's funny about that is the Elk's is 4 blocks from my house. They've been trying to get me to join, and I'm considering it as I've been in as a guest a couple times and hung out. Ride the bicycle there, drink many beers, ride home..... listen to old guys' stories (which I love to do), and help the community out a bit but, if that happens I will delete my answer to this poll as being 40-49 and change it to 60-69....
I am 50. Not many young people can afford these old cars these days. When I was 16, I could have bought my 67 GS in nice driving condition for around 3 grand. I did buy a nice 68 Firebird and 68 mustang vert as a teen. My first 2 cars. Dad tried to sell me on a 70 gs455 when I was 16. I declined because I was scared of the torque. Funny, after getting experience with my first 2 cars, I sure was ready for the GS!
I was 17 when I joined. Got my 68 Riviera @ 12 fixed it @ 16. Turned 30 this year. Contrary to a lot of people's beliefs, there's a large part of the younger generation that still loves these cars.
