There was an Original Paint Plumb Crazy 70 Stage-1 floating around. It got repainted another color but purple was still visible on sides of cowl. I saw the car when a friend and member here owned it. Not sure where it went? Had an SCO in trim tag.
Congratulations Jason on the new Dodge. I've not met anyone yet that doesn't like their new Dodge Challenger. My dad keeps mentioning that he would like to have one as well. The Mopar camp has got to be laughing now. There used to be a Hemi vs Stage 1 rivalry but now lifelong Buick guys are selling their vintage Buicks and buying new Hemis! Rich L. told me that he even owns a 392 Hemi Challenger. Fortunately he didn't sell Old Blue to get it.
Congratulations on your latest acquisition. Great color/ model choice. Those cars grow on you fast & you'll be enjoying very comfortable cruising with beast under the hood only a downshift away. I've always been a GM guy but nobody can deny these Challenger's got that mix of great classic muscle car looks and modern big car comfort that its competitors can't match ! ENJOY !
Thanks Rich! Im really enjoying it. I love the color too. I'll have it at the next LIBC meeting And just to be clear to everyone....I didn't sell out!! Im still a die hard Buick guy. In fact, I drove the beater twice over the weekend. Mainly because I was too dirty to run to the store in the new car!
The new Challenger has turned 1200 miles and it got its first oil change on Weds. Easier than I thought it would be. The miles Ive racking up on the beater has slowed down a little. The beater has a little more than 4000 miles on the 4 speed conversion as of last week.
I know it's not Plum Crazy but I can't help seeing Jason in the driver's seat of this car in this commercial.
Well, the Challenger is one year old. Just did its 10k mile oil change. ... Amazing what a difference a year makes. My black GS is gone, as is the beater and my green Riviera. Some of my prized parts have been sold off. And my personal life has taken quite a hard left turn. Some of my closest friends know what has happened but it wasnt the cars fault. If someone told me 2 years ago everything that would happen in my life last year, I would of told them they were insane! Looking back, I wouldn't of changed one thing. No regrets! Suffice to say its been one hell of a roller coaster ride. The Challenger is one great car! Most fun you can have with your clothes still on!!!
Time does fly, I'm also almost a year in on my hellcat as well. It's my second challenger They are great fun, powerful cars.
Are you talking about the one that Herb had ? If so it went to Canada and was fully restored by SunBuick. Car looks awesome. I wanted the car when Herb had it but it was just to much work for me to try and tackle. I kind of wish I had got it as it would have been just bad ass to drive around a plum crazy stage1.
Taking way too much of a beating for picking up one bad ass ride. I know plenty of people with them with nothing but good to say. Hell at least you didn't come home with a new putzstang Sweet car. Good for you
Glad to hear you still are loving the Challenger. They do have a lot to offer, don't they? How about another favorite shot of Barney? Are you done selling cars? Hopefully your personal life is back to being straight again
