No kidding wouldn't it had been better to have him through some james bound type stuff save his friends. Till kill off a 100 year old icon just to see how ppl on the internet reacts is beyond crazy stupid in my mind
Gotta be some attention grabbing ploy. Probably come back double roasted or something. These marketing guys.......well....never mind
I wonder how the brand will separate itself from other brands. I myself always noticed that little monocle and top hat when I went looking for a snack at a convenience store.
Not to mention he can do a MEAN Dukes of Hazard jump! I am sure he is fine just advertising tease for attention
I had the job to do an alignment on Mr. Peanut's ride. Needles to say the test drive was very unusual.
Saw the Mr Peanut ride on Clearwater Beach a couple years ago along with the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile - very cool. UticaGeoff
...whereas most iconic logo retirements are subtle affairs, gotta hand it to Planters marketing for taking advantage of current "no such thing as bad press" to "kill off" theirs, then use hottest marketing venue to announce what's next. I wait with bated breath (sigh)…
Many years ago Pratt& Whitney "modernized" it's flying Eagle trademark that had the "Dependable Engines" slogan and replaced it with a stylized Eagle head that looked like the USPS logo. There was so much intense screaming that they changed it back very quickly. ... and Keith - I promise that I will not lose a minute's sleep over it.
Are they signaling something about Jimmy Carter? I think there was something registered at the State level/event about him recently?
