I think this may have been a car local to Bowling Green. Teresa Byrd, daughter of the owner of Byrd's Body Shop in BG, used to have one a whole lot like this. Would the "C" in front of the shoe polish windshield number have designated placement in the car corral?
You're welcome. Some time ago, I scanned them and posted them to Facebook albums, but I figured they would be better appreciated here.
Those were great days. As you look through the pics notice there are NO trailers in the pits. Most people drove to the Nats. Drove my Stage1 Conv there twice. 900 plus miles each way.
Awesome pics! You know a car/brand/owners are exceptional when you have "meets" for something that is only 10-20 years old. Would you see that same kind of enthusiasm for a bunch of 2005 Camaros/Mustangs/ Challengers/etc.? I think not. Very, very cool.
I drove my 69 4speed, stage2, there in 1983 for my 1st Nats, 600 miles each way.The most miles I ever put on it in a year.lol In 1985 started bringing Thumper. gary
nice, wish the nats had more people now like they did then. Any info on the show car (I assume) with the blower set up?
