My Flint built 71 GS 455 parts car has one hole and this is a numbers matching frame. Both of my 70 GS455 parts cars have 3 holes in the frame, though I only checked 1 to see if numbers match.
Rob, Yes,the frame that I pictured on the previous page will be for sale once I pull it out from the car. I still need to get the numbers off the back rail. I also have this one from a 71,but I know you want a 1970 for your 1970.
I had a moment to pull my 70 out enough to crawl under the back and scrape away to get the frame ID. This is a 70 GS 455.
Hayes frame from 1969. Could you scrape a little more and get the month? Looks like XX/10/1969. My car was built 11/69 Are you still selling that frame?
There will be a two letter code there too identifying model. Interesting on the Hayes. I know my 71 Stage 1 was Hayes but my 70 GSX was another manufacturer. Had an S which was AO Smith. PPS was another. Parrish Pressed Steel.
Rob, I cleaned the rest of the date off. It is 11-10-69. I was actually under there removing body bolts. Hopefully I can have this out in a month.
Thanks Brian. Is there any damage to the frame at all?? Dents? Rust? Also how much do you want for the frame?
There is no damage to it,and so far,it all looks great. I unbolted the body, and lifted the front so far. The body mount holes at the bottom of the cowl are perfect,so that’s a good sign of things to follow. $1,000.00 for the frame.
