I am installing a 1972 dash into my 1970 GS. The 72 dash only has two threaded studs, with nut,in the center. The rest are the push-in studs. To adapt this correctly to my 70,I think I need the correct female ends for the metal part of the dash, for the studs to push into. Anyone have these?
I do stock these if anyone needs them in the future . https://www.diecastmusclecars.com/dcmbuickfasteners.htm .
I should make a small correction,so I don’t mislead or confuse anyone. On each end of a 1970,there are the wavy metal clips. The 72 dash has the barbed studs in the same location. I just need to make sure I have the correct fastener for the other end, which is in the metal part of the dash.
Brian,I have the one in the picture, and I also have the kind that's like a U,the points snap in into the metal, most likely those are the ones you want.Bruno.
Whatever I need to put a 72 dash into a 70. When I parted the 72,I left those clips in the dash section, when I sold the cowl. Thanks.
I got them in the mail yesterday. I think I need what Todd pictured, but I will put these to use too. Let me know what I owe you. I need the ones that these studs press into.
The "stud" you have pictured does utilize the retainers that I sell. The other style does not require any type of retainer.....it simply pushes into the dash framework.
Well,Brian, had you said anything about them,I would have send you those, because I have those also.Don't worry about paying, when you have something that I need,I'll ask you for it,if it is of equal value.By the way,if you are getting them from Todd, that's fine, otherwise let me know and I'll mail you 2 of the other kind.Bruno.Bruno.
