The 09C on my trim tag and the 00008 body number indicate a third week of September 1968 build. So I suppose I need something like an 8H or 8J. EDIT: OR 8G (Correct me if I am wrong on any of this.) -- Steve
Steve, With a 9c build date starter should be 9a, 9b and maybe even 9c depending on week built if I’m reading your post right.
I misread what you were trying to ask,. I thought you were asking what model years/date codes are more desired, not desired for your actual car. - Sorry IMO the correct starter would be date coded 3 weeks to 2 months earlier than your build date of your car.
No prob -- I am in a permanent state of confusion about most of this stuff anyway. Yeah, car is a mid Sept 1968 build, hence looking for 8h (August 1968) or 8j (Sept 1968). I suppose I should also include 8g (July 1968).
