I can totally understand. A friend of mine whose father worked @ Chrysler still gets the employee rebates. He has a lease for a 2018 Hellcat. When I was in US last year in September he was kind enough to take me to a "tuning session" on the dragstrip. Even better, he let me drive the car, so I did 3 launches (my very first time on a drag strip). All I can say is WOW. The power of the car and the acceleration is crazy. I did drive it in "idiot-mode" (all systems on) 2 times and did the last run w/o slip control. The last run was my slowest and I almost did wet my pants with all the neverending wheel-spin . If I would still live in US, I would heavily consider driving a Challenger, or a Camaro. To me both really combine classic heritage with modern technology. Yeah I know, there is another kid, but to me the Mustang looks a little "overweight", where as Challenger and Camaro look very athletic, but that is just a matter of personal taste.
If I was going to pick, I'd have a Redeye (I understand why Jason isn't going with one), but if I was doing a Scat Pack, that's the one I'd get....wide body and all. If you're going to be purple and obnoxiously crazy looking, go all the way, not 90%
Funny you should mention that. Im selling a gorgeous unfired nickel Python. its the centerpiece of my collection
Jason, now that you've decided to drive something everyone else has I think a HOT PINK Charger would fit your new MID LIFE IMAGE ! ! ! Get the 4 door 392 Charger and you'll have plenty of room to shuttle your old friends back and forth to the nursing home, big trunk for walkers and don't forget the wheel chair mount for the back bumper. That is a definitely an old lady bloomer droppin' ride there son...........
Also.......I'm callin' you and any type of MOPAR JUNK you buy to a $1,000 grudge race. Step to the MIGHTY ZR1 Chicken Legs, let's see how you wasted your mid life money........................... "My money be on dat ole timers Vette. I clocked him once at 205 and he said he was only in forf gear....DAMN, I puttin' $100 on dis race" !
My advice is to buy one....I did last April and can say it’s the nicest baddest car I’ve ever had. Old school is cool, but the technology today is unreal. You can use it as a daily driver, take it on vacation and it’ll light up the tires at 70 miles an hour. Do it!
Unfortunately, that car is probably worth more in parts. id lose money if I sold it whole. Ray, I'll get you some pics after the weekend. Black, no vinyl. Sandlewood interior, 15" chrome plated wheels, G60's
The bad part about the cars built from 2007 to now is that they can be hacked into and taken over remotely rendering you without being able to control the car! New technology is nice and all but the above is a price that is to rich for me. Odds are that the car wouldn't ever be hacked into but as long as they can be there will always be that possibility that it will be. The real reason they changed to the gas pedal to being a switch with a electric motor controlling the throttle body and why cars are changing to electric power steering! For total capability to remote control a newer car! I wonder how hard it would be to change all that electric crap on a new car to the older tried and true non-hackable throttle cable and hydraulic power steering?
Holy Smokes Chris!!! That's even the right color!!! Next time I'm down your way, I'm begging for a ride!!
