Hey, 41 speciman, I have a slightly darker green button, if you are more interested in that... But I would have to get this one... (You barely beat me to the post, apparently; both of us at 3 minutes ago...)
I guess your steering wheel is dark. Ok ill contact him. He just sent me pic of his dark green button
How many green colors were made? My interior and vynal top is dark green with sea mist green paint from factory
Same here I was lucky to find a wheel my car is matching number 100% origanal but paint and still has origanal wheel
There are at least three different colors of "green", and other off shoot colors like blue-green, etc. It all depends on the year that was applicable. Kind of like how "white" in 1970 is color code 10, but in 1971 "white:" becomes color code 11, a totally different color, and later on, when the paint formulations change (Lacquer vs Enamel vs Base coat/clear coat [VOC style solvent base paint] vs base coat/ clear coat [water base paint]) The factory used these wheels from 1968 (at least, possibly earlier) through 1978 (I believe), so think about ALL the color changes for all those years. Those wheels were used also in the mid to late Buick Skyhawk as well (Think Chevy Monza hatchback in Buick clothes...)
41speciman, what year car is yours? Also what is the trim code off the cowl tag? That would help ID the application. I can corelate the trim codes to the paint codes used on the trim to help get the right application. (Things you learn as you go through this hobby.) Also based on the appearance of your steering wheel, yours is the darker green that my steering wheel is. My steering wheel is closer to the appearance of Jarrod's cap; My current cap is closer to the appearance of your steering wheel.
Also, I guess that is NOT that clear of a picture of my button. Mine is a dark green. I'm not good at pictures; Obviously (LOL). I can try to send another picture to you 41speciman, if you are interested. I can't get mine to link to computer, but can send via text. That is why Jarrod had to post my picture. If you are not pleased with my button, return it and I'll refund the price. NOT including shipping. I send everything with tracking numbers. It took me several years to get the button that I have, only to find out that it was darker than it appeared on the posting. That member has since dropped out of the V8buick community after two aliases/ log-ins... and it took a LONG time to get it from him. That has been the ONLY time I've had issues with anyone Here on V8buick; I've even recieved a better item than I requested because another person backed out ahead of me, and I PM'd the guy if I owed more, as the two items were priced differently, not much, but $5 is still $5 diffetrence.
41speciman, AHHH! I read your post as to your color and crossed it 1970 Seamist green, color code 45, 2171 on the PPG color chart . You need the darker green cap (MINE!) https://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/colour_swatch_buick_1970 Your interior paint codes are 9708LH Dark Green Metallic Semi-gloss, and 9697LH Dark Green Metallic Flat
The sport wheel I think is 70 but is not from my car I was going to put the 3 spoke in for looks and keep the origanal on wall is there any numbers on wheel that will help figure color out ? I have my own business and travel to jobs so response back is slower
Waiting for the 2 members in front of you to come to an understanding with each other. So sale pending. Thanks for your interest.
