Maybe it’s a “Any Day-Resto-Survivor-Noncourse-Outlaw-Street/Strip-Drag-Cruiser-Mod”? Oh man, I can’t tell you how many times I had to weld my Lakewood ladder bars up as the BUICK torque had no mercy on them when I ran those in the 90’s
These would look great on the rear of somebody's "Day Two" build! A little pricey and I wouldn't drive on them but they would be great for shows! https://www.ebay.com/itm/USED-Lot-4...m=272608719431&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507
And there’s two cars’ worth! Of course the fronts on each would have to be a smaller white letter tire, from a different company, maybe even different wheels. Patrick
At one time I had L60's on back of my 77 Olds Cutlass and G60's on front..I sometimes miss my first car..
Pat, I remember having L60's on the back of my 67 Mustang convertible. (Also my first car.) I had it jacked up with air shocks and the tires barely fit under the outside edge of the wheel lip. Boy did that car ride harsh, but I didn't care. I also remember melting my "air lines" a few times on my exhaust. When that happened the body settled on the tires and you couldn't go anywhere until it was fixed. I lived down the shore in the summers and always had a Blond in the car all summer long. Ah to be young again. Duane
I had a Hijacker air pump in my trunk and a gauge inside the car so I could raise and lower the car when the police arrived...lolYou are right, those bias ply tires rode like hell hut the coolness factor was worth it. I had pulled the way underpowered 260 Olds motor from the car and installed a built SBC 400 in it with a set of headers and true dual exhaust.I upgraded to 2/14 inch pipes. First drag racing experience,I blew the mid 3 series posi at Beaver Springs. We towed it home behind my dad's truck with a tow bar...lol Lot's of explaining had to be done that day.
I had L60's on the back of my '69 SS396 Chevelle. It was jacked up with spring spacers, the kind you "screw" in with a rachet. But my tires were Hercules Honcho's...
Retro-looking tachs are now available from Bosch. They are reproducing two styles of the old Sun tachometers! And luckily they don't say "Bosch" on the face. $115.99 from Summit.
You can still get Sun Supertachs as well. I've got one of the new versions in my F100 and a Mooneyes red metalflake steering wheel.
I just tried to find them to post a link and I believe you are correct. Happy I got mine 3 years ago when I did!
I've definitely got a car problem. This is my current stable at home. 66 Buick Special, 69 Dart GTS(clone) and my 70 Camaro. Yes, it's an addiction since I was a kid!
