1100891 alternator. Double pulley. Spins, low oxidation, for rebuild. No fan, can supply one from a similar vintage GM alternator. Included in the listed price. Date code 0J10. Believe October '70 date. '71 model year. $119 shipped 48 states.
I've been tempted but figure someone else needs it more than I do. I rebuild a lot of alternators and can tell that the case, etc will turn out beautiful. It's a "dry" core...not a crusty core from a humid environment which are a nightmare to get apart. BIG plus is the super nice pulley.....pitted?? NOPE....hard to find in that condition. Too early for my '72 also. Can't figure it out...in the Oldsmobile world folks are beating the bushes for a real clean correct core...and at MUCH higher prices.
Correct me here.......running on memory. The 891 indicates '71 Buick with AC only. 55A unit will fit many cars but the number is pretty rare. I had a couple for mine. Restored the shells & bought a rebuilt at Carquest or NAPA. Put the new workings inside the restored shell & mounted in the car. 1 hour job on the bench to swap the inner parts.
I know this post is old I didn't know if you still had that alternator if so you can text me that 440-313-5651 Steve thank you
