That's one of my goals this year But if anyone is interested I can go check it out for ya....I have a board members car at my house as we speak but that's a secret as of now...... waiting on a truck to come get it and haul it away to the state of...................
I like it a lot. I would probably just install a radio and start burning gas. Didn't someone post a link to a California craigslist ad for this same car months ago before it was in good running condition and before the fancy custom wheels? It was listed relatively cheap at that time and wasn't as cleaned up as it appears to be now. Can't be too many faded red paint, black vinyl top '67 GS 400s in California so maybe it's the same car. Either way, I like this one.
This one did pop up on here a few months ago and I seriously considered it. A board member owned it at the time and I'm ashamed to say I can't remember who it was.
Thanks for confirming that my mind wasn't playing a trick on me. I'm pretty sure I saved the photos somewhere because I liked the faded red paint. It was relatively cheap last time it was listed so it probably sold quickly. The car cleaned up very well and I would be happy to drive it as-is for now. By coincidence I'm having a faded red '67 GS 400 picked up in California tomorrow just north of LA which appears to only 75 miles from this car. I wonder if the transporter can squeeze another red '67 GS400 into the enclosed trailer
Well I found the photos of the previous car and it's not the one I remembered seeing before. It was faded red but didn't have a vinyl top and had bucket seats and console. This was from February 2018. Apparently there are at least 3 faded red GS400s in the LA, California area.
I'm 100% certain the car that is the subject of this thread is the one I considered. So you're right Gary, there's more than one.
Looks like they were asking $2500 in the first pic. On the subject car, the paint looks like it's holding on really well. Although I'd probably keep it faded, I'm sure a guy could get it back to more than presentable with a buffer and a few hours of time.
