Not sooooooo good news. Noise is back, sounds the same. Since it left when i messed with drive line. I imagine its time to take to drive line shop so cv joint can be rebuilt and properly balanced,,,,, frustrating to say the least !!!!
This is why you should always, ALWAYS carefully and clearly mark all components of a driveshaft prior to disassembly to guarantee that it goes back together in the exact same orientation. It takes practically no time to do and saves you a lot of headaches down the road.
I did amigo.... I think what happen the first time when I removed rear section and restalled. The center bearing was not seated properly thus changing the phase. Now that it is properly placed noise has come back. I did not replace any u joints or cv joint. I don’t plan to repair anytime soon but when I do I will post results
KICKING LIKE A MULE. This engine runs too good to replace !!!! I plan to replace intake and carb. I brought it with a elderbrock carb. So plan to install another eldebrock carb and intake. My lt/ft outter bearing race is spinning inside hub. I plan to replace drum assembly this weekend. I do plan to take drive line off for balancing and possible cv joint replacement....
