I did this event last year and had a good time. They also ran a race class for the V8 cars on Friday and Sat. Last year John Csordas headed up tis part of the program. It is my understanding that he will not be able to do so this year. Is there anyone here interested in doing it or giving me a hand to put it together. Picture from last years event.
Just read on Face Book that the event location has been changed to Farmington Drag way www.farmingtondragway.com. If I read it correctly its about an hour from Burlington. Looks like I will be the guy to head up this event. John Csordas wont be able to do it. and no one else is jumping at the chance to step up. Im looking for sponsors and donations of prizes and or prize money. Last yr there was 18 cars that started and the final 4 decided to evenly split the winning at the 1/4 finals. It was more than what I spent to get there and race. Hope to be able to raise as much as John did last yr.
I've secured a cash sponsor and 2 prize sponsors. Rock Auto has come on board with gift certs and Jet Hot Coatings is sending 2 25% off gift certs worth about 100.00 each. Looking for more people to jump on. Entry into the class will be free. only required to pay a gate fee. At the drivers meeting we can discuss rules, bi runs and buy backs.
Briz, thanks for doing this! 5 of us coming down Fri. Booked rooms at Comfort Inn in Mocksville NC. We've always had a great time at this event. Thanks again! Bubba

Love your car! Seen it at BG last yr. I got a commitment for sponsorship from Jim @ TriShield. Added that to the pot this morning. Still got other irons in the fire!
Briz, I just checked the events calendar for Farmington Dragway and this event is not listed, or advertised anywhere on their website. Also, I haven't seen much discussion on the board other than this thread. Is it still on for May 2-5? I hope so, I have been looking forward to going! Thanks for your work on this! Doug
You will find most of the chatter on the Turbo Buick page and there is a thread going on FB. Yes it is still on. Im hoping for at least 20 V8 cars for the 2 days of racing planed. TB has also announced a renegade class where the V8 cars will compete against the turbo cars on a .4 pro tree bracket type dial in. Lets whip some Turbo ass!
