Such a great deal that it drew 0 (yeah thats zero) bids! I just happened to click on it when there was a minute left and seen no bids so I watched it end lol. Keith
I don't think I would have the heart to just throw it out. Its not like they're still printing them right? Maybe someone might want it for ambiance in their garage. I would of put it up for a penny just to get an address to send it to
My wife & I used to buy, sell & collect old toys from the 60's, 70's & 80's. Lots of times the box the toy came in would be worth more than the toy. I know this not the same as car parts but boxes can be worth $$$$ sometimes.
That's a fact! You still have anything in your collection? Ive got a few toys you would get a kick out of.
I still have some stuff. Most is still packed away from our move from SC to Alabama. What old toys do you have?
I have a Kenner light beam car in the original box. Its a red 69 Dodge Charger with a flashlight. The car has two small photocells on the roof. Depending on which photocells you shine the light on, the car goes left right or straight. I have an AFX Peter Revson Phoenix 500 set which is pretty rare. Peter Revson died in a racing crash as the set was getting released. Aurora stopped production on the set and gave the stores a sticker to put over Revson's face on the boxes they had on the shelves. Mine has no sticker
Why do us Buick guys sell ourselves short ? Fishin stuff goes for big bucks. Barb wire collectors will pay big bucks too. Seen a chunk ( inches ) of wire sell for thousands $
I remember both of those. The Peter Revson set without the sticker is great! I had the Aurora Formula One H.O. set. I bought it when I was a kid but sold it at the first toy show I attended. I sold a bunch of my old toys when I found out they were worth something and I was trying to get the money to buy a Harley.
I found a car part stuck in ground at a junkyard, cleaned it up hung up and about 2 weeks later this guy comes and pays good money for it. Some parts I think are worthless end up being the ones that sell.
I have my mothers toy tea set that she received as a child that she unfortunately never had the chance to play with. Its a 13 piece set, made out of porcelain, in the original box, with the original tissue wraps and all. On the bottom of the largest piece it is stamped "made in occupied Japan". A very rare set I am sure of. Keith
I've discussed this with my drinking/wrenching buddies before.....we could take jars up into the mountains where we snowmobile, take the tops off them, close them, and sell them as clean mountain air from the peaks of the Rocky Mountains.....I'm quite sure we could make money at it, I just don't have the actual gall to rip stupid people off like that.
We get charged for carbon up here in Canada; - a country that has 6 months of snow and requires the use of fossil fuels to keep people from freezing to death. We are directly responsible for .01% of all the CO2 emissions in the world. Right now it's -20 outside with a couple of feet of snow...I love paying for used air! I can send you some too! Gee...don't I feel good about hugging trees today.
