I finally had a chance to install one of his repro overflow tank lids. The coloring is pretty close to dead on on my OEM tank and the fitment is GREAT. It snapped right on as it should.
Looks great Brett. Nothing like a new overflow tank to spruce up the engine room! But can we get the worm clamp off that hose please? Go to Ace Hardware and get a pinch clamp for it. And Brett, we need to talk about your TPS reports.....I mean your battery cables. The positive should be at 12"oclock and the negative has to be at a 45 degree angle.
The positive should be on the other side of the lower hose and you should have two battery cable retainers- one on the frame, and one on the inner fender by the battery. http://www.oldbuickparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=5798http://www.oldbuickparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=5798
Sorry...people have told me I need to work on my delivery. Some people sugar coat stuff and other just give it to you right between the eyes. Im more of a right between the eyes kind of guy.
How about some pics of the beater instead? You can see the repro battery cable clip clipped into the hole in the side of the frame. The originals were black so you have to paint them to be 100% correct. And the second picture shows what little remains of the other clip that goes in the hole in the wheel house. You like my battery tray?
