Depends on what you have but I want a 70 for the compression. I assume I'd have to rebuild it and then I'd bore out the oiling holes and stuff like that
It really doesn't matter what 455 you get. If you are rebuilding it,then you are changing pistons,and you can get whatever you want,to taylor to the compression that you want.
I have a 72 in NJ, if you like. You can see a video of it running at the link below. It is loud because of exhaust. It is in a 72 Riviera.
Unless you are using it the way it sits,you can build it however you want. In your situation,I wouldn't be concerned as much about the year. You just need a good foundation.
Yeah I'd be interested in all I just want instant compression I'm building a race engine as we speak but I also want a reliable daily so if I have to rebuild it I will but I also want something with balls that maybe I won't have to rebuild but idk
