Bought this tool to replace the control arm bushings that are pressed in the ears of the rear axle. Its part #0599. It works like a charm! I was able to press the old bushings out and the new ones in without a hitch. Highly recommended!
Its listed for $89 on their site and that's what they charged me last week. Well worth it. Made quick work of it
The only problem I have found with this tool is everyone wants to borrow it because it works so well!
I have the original Kent Moore control arm bushing tools and spacers for the rear control arms and the front lowers. On the front uppers, a company called "Astro" makes a nice upper control arm remover/ installer
Does anyone know if HR is still in business? I called several times today and left a message on FB but no one has responded. I'm looking for a this type of tool to keep in the box for other projects. \
I have had one of these for years. It works great on front lower bushings as well as rears. Well worth the price since it saves on having to find a machine or front end shop to press your bushings.
I will say "AMEN" to tat .I used mine to pull the rubber bushings out and put the poly shell's in.Thank you HRpartsNstuff, and Thank you Paul.Mr.Jay B.Britt,Jr.
Do you have part numbers for the rear control arm bushing tools n spacers? I've been looking and I can't tell exactly what I need from the ebay listings.
Alright, #0599 arrived today and made short work of replacing the bushings in rear end. Great tool for the other project(s). Thanks for the recommendation.
Would this work for the rest of the bushings in the rear control arms as well as the ones in the axle ears? Because that would be super handy..
