My lower ac bracket is cracked and I need a better one. I have tried a few others that seemed like they would fit but they mount the compressor too low which won't allow the upper triangle bracket to connect. Looks like the correct one has part #1251871. Also the side that mounts near the exhaust ports has a hole NOT a slot. Anybody have an aluminum one like shown in the pictures. The first 3 are the correct bracket and the 2nd 3 pictures are the incorrect one. Thanks if you can help. Rob Holmes
Rob, was going to call you but thought I would post here. #I found was1231871 not a125. It fits 69 and 70 all manual and auto, except 90000, Riv. Lists different number for 67/8 and 71 up. Not sure if the slot or hole on lower bolt by exhaust is the difference, no good pictures to look at. Hope that helps, thanks Bill.
http://www.buickperformanceclub.com/455pulleybrkts.htm There was an early bracket that was replaced by the 1231871. See if the info in the link helps.
Rob, short A/C Class 101 begins now: I have these two lower aluminum A/C brackets: 1381728 and 1231871. When a ROD is pushed thru the boltup holes, as you can see, BOTH line up as far as mounting holes, however, 1381728 has obviously lower compressor mounting position as showd in pix #5. I've also pointed out some 'webbing' difs and a COMPLETE exhaust manifold bolt hole vs SLOTTED hole AND, 1231871 has 3 small weep or drain holes also seen in pix #5. Im sure either of these will clean up nicely with a light media blasting. Lemono which ONE interests you! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Bill that will work for me. I looked closer at mine and its part 1231871 not 125. This has been quite the learning experience for me
Sir, do you still have AC bracket 1381728? If so is it in undamaged condition? I am looking for one to purchase Mike Sumrell Fayetteville NC
