Been awhile since I’ve posted anything here, I hope this finds all in good health. On 3/17/16 I had my 77 Skylark totaled by an older person who made a right turn on to a 3 lane street and moved directly into the #3 lane (far left), drove my son, who was driving at the time, up onto the center divider, blew out the left rear tire, sent him spinning out off control back words into the right side of the street. Jumped the curb blew out the other tire and slammed into a cinder block wall with the left rear quarter. So now I’m looking for another 77, 78, 79 Skylark with a straight frt./rear frame and straight quarters. Not too worried about frt. tin as the tin is ok on mine. I’m willing to go to SoCal., AZ. UT. NV. as I live Las Vegas. If you have or know of someone with something I can use please contact me via this forum.
This car would have been perfect. Was crushed several years ago by East El Paso yard. They did not sell whole cars unless someone spotted it before the VIN was deactivated and the car was in the "in process" area. I do have the drivers' door assembly, and yes front "tin" from this one and a four door. I would try "craigslist" in the central valley, as well as yuma, tucson, and maricopa county (phoenix).
Yeah I've been wearing out Craigslist looking for a replacement. Even looked at some Nova's. I seem to find the Novas easier than Skylarks. I'll keep you in mind if something comes up for your "tin"
It does. I was going start stripping it on Sat. I got the tach and rear plate off and had to stop. Maybe in a week or three.
