Great weather today, great show, many thanks to the 100+ Buick owners that brought their cars out to play!!!!!
Thanks Chrisco for your contributions and had a great breakfast across the street with you and Dan and soon to be Buick owner UPS Mark. Perfect weather and fun drive home with Mark. We stopped in Woodland for gas and got flagged down by a parade of old cars and were asked to join in their town parade and night cruise...so we didn't get home until late. As Chris mentioned, it was a beautiful day and good to catch up with Buick folks. Here are a couple of pics of the cars. For those that don't know, the show is put on in conjunction with Meeker Days festival in Puyallup so there is a street fair going on at the same time. A few blocks away there was a vintage tractor display as well. With all the events going on in the street, there is lots to see and do! The Blue 1928 won best of show.
Hey everyone, reaalllllyy sorry for the wait! It has been crazy at work.. I have had no time lately. Here are my photos from the show - tons of repeats, but I tried to keep it interesting. And for waiting so patiently (Chris) there's a bonus coming soon  https://gngs.smugmug.com/Cars/Buick/20150620-All-Buick-Open-Puyall/
This is the Premier Buick show in the Pacific Northwest every year. Buick enthusiasts from all over the country have attended this show, where will this year's "farthest traveler" come from? Rumor has it he will be an "east coaster"...... Saturday June 18, 2016. See the first post in this thread for all of the details. Here are pictures from the 2015 show. You don't want to miss this one!!!! https://gngs.smugmug.com/Cars/Buick/20150620-All-Buick-Open-Puyall/
I woulda been a contender! (without Wildcat, sadly). Me and my kids will be on holiday in Washington state around the 4th July weekend, and a week earlier travelling up to Vancouver. Arriving San Francisco June 19. Darn shame I will miss this. :ball: Would anyone recommend the ''Old Fashioned 4th July car show in Prosser, WA'' ?? Seen that on a listing. Looking to show my two teenagers a little classic street furniture as well as some Main St, Small Town USA, patriotism on the day.... they've never visited USA before (I have, fairly often) so they are kinda excited....
I haven't ever been to the Prosser show, but it would probably fit the bill as small town type of celebration. It is about 200 miles east of Seattle though. Here is a link to local car shows, in case you don't already have one. http://www.cruzinmag.com/calendar.html
Haha, I was confused at first because you revived last year's thread. I really want to be there but also trying to plan a Chelan weekend.. it might conflict due to work and the next month being too busy. Chris, you know I've never missed a Puyallup show for some time so this is really tearing me apart! I will update when it gets closer. One of my favorite shots from last year (ooh, that butt!) :kodak:
I've been dying to make it back 'home' to Puyallup for one of these for years now...possibly next year I might make it but not in any of my cars :-( in any case, I'll be sending my eyes and ears (friend since high school) to it to do some recon for me, get some pics, and tell me all about it. So be on the lookout for a skinny, goofy looking dude with bad teeth, dark hair, baseball hat and a nice camera talking about how he used to own a 70 Skylark and his friend (me) owns a 70 GS and 71 Convertible. He loves and misses his Skylark...I tried to buy it from him so many times as it sat and rotted for many years before his parents just scrapped it or sold it for nothing to someone. He didn't know how to fix it or have the $.
x2! I'm watching the weather pretty closely and it keeps changing. The closer we get to the date, the better it is looking... I guess I better send in my registration!
