They are "sissy" cars I guess. 235" worthy and a 230" undercover. We've gone 8 teens with stock rods, no girdles, but time to build something more reliable. Scott
"Exhaust Plus" not sure where "sissy dragster" came from, but yours is very good looking. I had pictures of it somewhere. If you were closer, I would let you borrow my Tomahawk to run. I'm sure it would put your son in the deep 7's.
The one I like is "motor on a stick". I've got 8 race cars, I just wanted to do something different. The dragsters are easy to work on and don't take alot of power to go fast. I went 8.16 @ 168 with a wiesco pistons and a 510 hyd. with stock rods. We're bracket racers and the dragsters just run the number all the time. I'm talking thousands. We like to be competitive on a low dollar deal. Maybe some day we'll step up to a roller cam! Scott
a lot of guys get paranoid when seeing where you sit in a fed. they get scared about the rear breaking. that's why i refer the red's as 'sissy cars'.
Here's some pics of my '67 I just finished. It's an all tube chassis car. It's the 3rd car I've ever painted. I'm learning. I'll try to find some pictures of the dragsters. Scott
Sounds good. Sometimes I think about selling off a few cars here and there. My kids will have alot of cars to sell when I'm gone. Scott
Scott, when the day comes that you will sell my old 66 Special (Man-O-War), please be sure to call me. I'd like a chance at getting that car back! Jim P, Cold Spring, MN
Hey Jim. That's the car I took to Memphis. It's working pretty good. Went 11.40's out there. I think I'm going to race it one more year, then retire it. It's won alot for me. Come down sometime and take it for a pass. Scott
