Besides 1971-1974 Electras, ( C bodies ) are there any other dual exhaust crossmembers I can use on a 1976 Electra? I have access to a 1971 Riviera, ( E-body ) , but I haven't measured it yet. Thanks for any help. Dave

Anyone have a 1971 Riviera and know if trans crossmember bolts are 54 5/8" on center and 5 3/4" between bolts on each side?
71 - 74 big chevy might be the easiest place to find these crossmembers. I have pulled four out of cars, sold two, and have two available currently. Car pictured is a 76 "glass house" but body shell and frame are near same as earlier cars.
Don't know for sure, but I think all B and C body 71-76 would be interchangeable, and also Riv ("E" body?) same years.
Nope they are not, I have a lovely clean powder coated one pulled from a 73 Chevy Caprice that dos not fit my 75 Leabre
I had duals on my 75 Electra, I used a crossmember from a 74 Electra. Other models may not fit due to trans. location forward or rearward.
Interesting. Just figured all 71 - 76 BOPCC big cars (non convertible) would share many frame dimensions and attachment points. Perhaps your crossmember was from a conv?? Further assume all convertibles had boxed frames, and all coupes / hardtops / and sedans had non boxed frames on the perimeter channel. Maybe? hardtops were also boxed. All 75 -76 crossmembers should have been single hump in order to limit exhaust routings to the passenger side catalytic converter.
I do know my Electra had a boxed frame, so did my 75 LeSabre convertible. My Dads 75 LeSabre 4dr. Hdtp, WAS NOT BOXED. If that helps you any.
So a car such as this (73 Le Sabre four door sedan) would have perimeter "boxed" side rails on its' frame, possibly?? This one should have the double hump crossmember, if it has not been swapped out for a later one.
Just picked up a crossmember from a 1971 Riviera. It is the same as my 1971 Electra. The 1976 Electra that this is going into has same T400 trans but with exhaust now single only the crossmember is an offset tubular design with the one hump. The holes for old style crossmember are still in '76 frame. Now with a wire wheel and some paint the project continues. Thanks to everyone for your input. Dave
Finally! Waldron exhaust arrived a couple of weeks ago, and is now on the car. I'm putting up a few pics to help clear up questions on the trans crossmember swap. The 1971 Riviera crossmember looked the same as my 1971 Electra crossmember. It is the flat one in the pics. I bought my '71 Electra from the second owner, still in original condition with single exhaust and double hump crossmember. The original crossmember from the 1976 Electra is along side for comparison. The pic of the frame shows the extra holes in the 1976 Electra frame which lined up with 1971 crossmember. To swap I slid to drivers side and right side dropped down. New one went in just as easy. The worst part of swap was waiting for backordered mufflers to be made in canada and shipped to Waldron. Teaching myself to resize and post pics was harder than installing pipes! Some technical notes: '71 has open rear frame rails, and rear hangers are mounted on top of frame. Flat bracket. '76 has closed rear frame rails - with the 5mph bumper - and the rear hanger mounts on side of frame. Right angle bracket.
Thanks. My dad picked this up at Hershey, Pa a few years back. I don't have any digital pics here. I'll take some this weekend when we put on last hangers and adjust pipes. Car is in my fathers garage.
