17 isn't a bad turnout for in informal thing on a hot day. As long as those who turned up had a good time than it was a success. Next year I'll schedule it for early September to try and beat the heat a bit. That's if there's enough demand for a second go at it.
I was looking forward to the event but our daughter gave me a grand daughter on Friday. Sorry I missed the event, maybe next year.
It was a good day at the track with some of the diehard Buick guys. Although it was around 90 degrees, the track personnel did a good job prepping the track, even if they needed a little work running the ladder for eliminations. The track surface had recently been reworked and it was a nice, smooth ride down the track. As Rob mentioned, I had an easy win over the 9.60 Chevy-powered Regal but didn't scrub enough off it at the top end and still managed to break out. Tough loss since I easily had him covered off the line (.044 to his .244). All in all it was still a good day and I would definitely attend next year. Thanks Rob for the help throughout the day.
Frank, the NED schedule shows a "Buick Bash" on April 27th. Not sure if this is the same event as last year, but I'm planning on attending. So get the car ready.
Paul, I'm soo behind with all I wanted to do with the car. I'll be working like a dog to make some events.. This maybe too early. My motor is out..:bglasses:
