Hey cool thanks for the pics. One thing I did notice right away is the fact that there is actually a passenger side side view mirror. First 66 I have seen with that. Cool car. Needs a little lovin but cool car for sure.
That rear bumper would be easy for a bumper shop to repair and rechrome and the true bumper shop do not charge extra for to straighten when you have bumper rechromed.
Ken, I should have the left rear roof section if you can't find it. I have a sportwagon roof in my back yard. Man does that sound "red neck" !
I've got a lot of interior parts from my '67 4-dr most of which should work (won't be 100% correct) for your 66.
Bill, I don't think the back door interior will work only the fronts. The back door panels are generally longer on the sportwagon. Well at least on the 65 cars they are. I tried to use 4 door rear door panels and they were way off in size.
Please refer to my earlier post regarding the lengthening of the frame to accomodate the roof glass results in a five inch stretch of the Sportwagon rear doors compared to other models.
Hey Brian, Can you check if you still have that rear driver's side roof section that I posted a pic of? My friend's is rotted as you can see. Sorry I never got back to you. He still needs that section, it's all rotted around that long piece of glass.
The roof section is still in my yard. The part that's needed has been the parts that's been touching the ground. Let me see if it's still ok or if mother nature is taking it back. I'll be in touch. Thanks, brian
Brian, This looks VERY promising. What do you want for the whole roof? Also, what does it look like under all that hay? Can you clean that channel out a little and shoot me a pic? That is actually the worse of the two sides on my firend's roof.
Ken, I want to make sure I'm clear. Are you talking about the outer channel that the window sits or the inner part inside the vehicle? I need the front skyroof window section for my car. I can sell the majority of the roof as in side glass area but as it sits that would be real hard to ship. That thing is big and heavy.
Ok sorry. He does not need the front channel. The whole outer and inner frame of the side glasses are needed. If you could cut the two side rear glass frames and channels as one piece each side, right off the roof, and ship to 04609 though that would be perfect. Not sure if it would have to go truck freight or if you could still do UPS? The inside and the outside including the channels on his are all completely toast. He needs the entire structures. Not sure where you would cut it. Whatever would make the most sense for welding it back in place on another roof. Anyway, tell me a price so I can let my friend know. Thanks Brian. Ken
