I have a friend that has a big curved rear window for a 71 to 73 or 4 Buick riviera he wants to sell if interested I will ask price he is one of those kinda guys that keeps saying make me a offer thats all I can say, let me know and I will bug the price out of him.
Model year 1974 had a different rear window. Here in the Netherlands they sell for 150 Euro / US$ 190, so I would guess something like US$ 100 on your side of the ocean. Edit: I've found an old advertisement, asking price is US$ 100. The seller says those windows go for US$ 300 at scrap yards. You can send an e-mail to CTC AutoRanch in Denton, Texas to ask about their selling price. Dan i hope you have better luck selling than i did. i had 2 of the back windows and offered them for sale at $10 each picked up and had no takers, they went to the scrapyard.
Yea, I've watched many many different folks advertise them hoping that since they are so unique looking that they surely must have decent value. I ended up scrapping one I had a few years ago because I couldn't give it away. The reason is there is very low demand because rear windows typically don't go bad unless a tree falls on it or someone drops something and thats really rare. If only we could create a use by re-purposing them then we'd be on to something.
I'm surprised but relieved how easy these are to find, and reasonably priced. That's usually the 2nd or 3rd comment someone will make about my car ("hope you don't ever have to replace the back window") I should probably pick up a spare one of these days, while the getting is good... waiting for one to show up in my neck of the woods.
Ya when I told him they are not worth much :eek2: his Jaw dropped he said he saved it for 20 years hopping it would be worth some good bucks, well I think its gonna be target practice now in a couple of weeks.
