Thanks for the plug Bill I also have the banner that was over the street in Flint for the 1988 BCA National meet . it is hanging in the barn as it is 30+ feet long
A Buick Neon sign from the 40s and a Prototype carb made by David Buick after he left GM, and signs from the Buick 100th Centennial
I've got this dealie-doo. It has a Mylar template of each model of '55 Buick. And large Paint chips of every color offered. One can see every model car in every color combination by flipping the Mylars and paint chips. Also it has interior swatches of the fabric, cordaveen and leather, each one in every color offered for '55;
I'll try a couple,I do have a "72 era" Plate from Amoco with a red 72 Skylark on it. it;s on a shelf in the picture attached.
I know that this isn't car related but I always found these neat. I have collected several ads like this one. My grandfather flew on a B-24 during WWII.
Man Yards, you guys know how to have a good time!! Although, that had better not be Yuengling that was poored on the ground!! We'd kill for that stuff in Ohio!!!!
That is wicked cool. \\\ My latest piece of literature is a NOS set of Protecto Plate, Owners Manual and the papers to get the protecto Plate registered (for 65 Buick Wildcat)
Not a big thing...but managed to find selling dealer license plate frame for "Lulu"...redid blue/white paint, but otherwise original... Before this, "coolest" find was correct unvented new OEM locking gas cap w/keys... Wish I still had my '40 - '65 shop/body manual collection...
I've thrown away all my old speeding tickets, so this is the next best thing from me. The brass key ring was my Grandfather's that Buick gave him when he visited Flint to buy his '53 (he made the road trip from Logan, Utah to tour the factory that year). I can't remember which model he purchased, but his next car was a '63 225 Electra. His last car was a '75 225 Limited. His first car was a 1920's Buick, but I can't remember which year or model (it had a straight 8, I think). Anyway, that's sort of where I got my Buick blood from. The second key ring is something I found at a small night market in Taiwan in 1990. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it and tried to get the seller to find more for me but nothing ever materialized. Every one of my Buicks has had their keys on that ring.
It's fun to flip through and pick out colors for the different cars. Protecto plate is cool. Dad's got a reproduced 1955 owners card, that has his name as if he was the original owner!
'53 was a big step for Buick. 50 years old. First year, for V8. First year, for 12 Volts. First year for Skylark. Last year, for wood body station wagon.
This one I got from a friend that saw at one of his friends place and said he knew a Buick freak and he then donated it to me
